  • The National Lottery

    The National Lottery,
    A tax upon stupidity,
    As those who unwise are,
Even on a single ticket spend too much by far,
As the government like a rocket,
    Does a portion pocket,
After which more hands reach out,
    And voices loudly shout,
That this money will the poor assist,
Though of course the voices will as well insist,
It must the money also for their efforts pay,
So the poor in ease can play.

    No lottery you see,
    Means no money,
    For the fees to pay,
    So the poor each day,
Would just have to do without,
As without the cash, few for them would shout.

  • Easy Money

Being human I have inside a thirst,
But feel as well I should my bubble burst,
And will try to you not lie.

So, if one were to me buy,
    For what I’m really worth,
    And then as well,
    Me later sell,
For what I think I’m worth,
    They would a fortune earn,
But I this can still not learn.

  • Opposites

    History through time together fits,
    Many opposites.
Robin Hood from the rich did steal,
So he to the poor could give,
And they better lives could live.
In consequence, for him the bells did peal.

    But Gordon Brown,
    With his lofty frown,
    From the poor does steal,
So he to the rich can give,
    Hoping they will be supportive,
    And him back with zeal.

He therefore in the teeth the poor does kick,
And this bully many think a pr...
As those too small to themselves defend,
He happily to hell will send,
    And should they dare complain,
    He will cause them pain.

For to Parliament CCTV is sweet,
A police patrol on every street,
    Ever ready to complaints record.
In the Bullion Bungler's heartless hand a sword,
    Which ensures the poor obey,
    Whatever he might say.

  • Capitalism

Capitalism, the religion of the spiv,
Who does just for money live.
A one for whom a moneyed sight,
Will evoke a shout of "R-I-G-H-T".

For with a working brain so like a pea,
A capitalist can not much see,
And mindless things will him delight,
So he for mindless things will fight.

    Money in the bank,
    He does highly rank,
Such a thought, does a capitalist enthral,
As it is in life his all.

But a worm gets from life more worth,
And so has in life a higher berth,
    Worms capitalists all come before,
As to life they count for more.
